Jan. 23rd 2021 Results: Fauquier Away Quad Skyline HS. Front Royal, VA

Fauquier wrestling wrestled at Skyline HS in a Quad meet against New Kent, Skyline, and Kettle Run HS. Skyline and New Kent proved to be the strongest teams in the state and went went 1-2 with a win over Kettle Run HS.

Warrenton, VA: Fauquier Wrestling team schedule is gearing up for in-season play and would like to share the 2021 wrestling schedule. This is just a tentative in-season schedule as things are changing daily. The first match is currenlty scheduled for Tuesday 12th.

It's GO Time - Update with Start of winter season

Warrenton, VA: Head Coach Chad Hoffman on the return to winter season:
"I, as well as my staff and wrestlers, am beyond ecstatic that the board decided to do the right thing and allow the county to wrestle this season. I understand the importance for all the winter sports teams in Fauquier County to get to participate in their season and would like to thank the School Board on the decision for this sports season to proceed. We can't wait to compete."

Warrenton, VA: The success team Fauquier wrestling had on the mat over the past decade would continue in 2020 with Fauquier Times Top sports stories.

On Wednesday, Dec. 30th the Fauquier Times newspaper ran their yearly top sports stories - Top 15 Sports Stories of 2020.

Hoffman named the New Head Wrestling Coach for Fauquier

Warrenton, VA: During the State Ring Ceremony at the Fauquier School Board meeting last week Fauquier’s Athletic Director Mark Ott officially announced Fauquier's newest head wrestling coach Chad Hoffman.

Hoffman was hired last year by Fauquier County and is a teacher at Fauquier High School. Hoffman is currently the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach on the football staff. Hoffman also joined the wrestling coaching staff during the 2019-20 season.

Hoffman will be replacing 10-year head coach Doug Fisher who won three state championship for the Falcons with a 150-70 dual team record.

VHSL Rolls out Guidelines for Interscholastic Plans

Warrenton, VA: In a normal school year, the month of November would be a time period when the Fall high school sports season would be finishing up and the winter season would begin.

No State Football Championship yet and we still need to wait longer for the winter sports season to begin.

While most school systems today have already moved into the 2nd marking quarter of the 2020-21 school year, there has been no VHSL athletic sanctioned events this school year.
