Fauquier Sports Foundation sponsors a youth travel team wrestling program in Warrenton, Virginia which practices at Fauquier High School. Fauquier Wrestling launched their first travel team in 2004. The Warhawks team holds practice three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. This practice is designed for advanced youth wrestlers of all ages and of all weights. Practices begin in November with the first tournaments being held in December. In additional to open tournaments our travel team participates as part of the Capital Area Wrestling League (CAWL).
The Capital Area Wrestling League (CAWL) is a premiere youth wrestling league for kids aged 15 and under, consisting of teams in the Greater Washington, D. C. metropolitan area, including both Virginia and Maryland. The CAWL was formed for advanced wrestlers who are interested in excelling at the sport of wrestling. The CAWL promotes sportsmanship in a competitive wrestling environment while teaching its participants to 'Work Hard', 'Believe in One's Self', 'Set Goals' and 'Wrestle To Win'.
