Feb., 10-11 2017 Fauquier wins its 7th Region Championships in 8 years Amherst HS., Amherst VA

TEAM RESULTS:

Congratulations to Team Fauquier for winning one of the most remediable Regional titles in team history. Being down 11.5pts entering the final round and taking a forearm to back of head team Fauquier still mustered up four key victories in the Championship finals to win the 2017 4A West Region Championship finals.

Championship Finals: Team Fauquier goes 4-1 and wins the 2017 4A West Region Championships.

Championship Semi- Finals: Team Fauquier went 5-3 and pushed five wrestlers onto the Championship finals. Joe DelGallo and Franco Camarca both earned pins for the team. The Falcons still have hold of the top leader board with 156.5pts in front of Liberty with141pts. The next round will be the Consolation Semi-Finals which will determines who goes for 3rd place.

Consolation 1st Rd: Both Kevin McKeachin and Darren Poles won by pins earning a total of 6 pts improving to 87.5pts.

Championship 2nd Rd: Team Fauquier went 8-1 with 3 pins. The Falcons take over the lead with 81.5pts. Two key match victories came from Joe DelGallo and Ty Foster. 132lbs Joe DelGallo won 2-0 over Landon Collins (ECG) and earn a set of near fall the last 4 seconds of the match in the 3rd period for the win. 145lbs Ty Foster who won a 3-1 outstanding match over Tatom Tyree (AMH). These eight Falcons who won have advanced to the Semi-Finals and will continue there Quest tomorrow.

Championship 1st Rd: Team Fauquier went 9-2 with 8 pins. The Falcons currently rest in second place with 34pts.
