As the 2015-16 school year started four alumni have continued to wrestle at Colleges. A few preseason events had the freshman class competing with many of those winning matches and placing at open tournaments.

Greg Flournoy - George Mason Univ., Sr., 157lb
Daniel Ariola - Campbell Univ., Fr., 125lb
Matt Raines - George Mason Univ., Fr., 141lb
Trevor Marable - St. Catherine College Fr., 157lb

As Greg Flournoy and NCAA National Qualifier from a year ago heads into his final season setting goals to getting back to the show. Freshmen Daniel Ariola has earned a partial starting spot at 125lb for the Camels and is getting some varsity mat time. Freshman Matt Raines and Trevor Marable are redshirting this year and wrestling in open tournaments. Raines just last month won the preseason Pembroke Open tourney in N.C.

Questions for Coach Fisher

Q: Any words related to coaching these kids and now witnessing them wrestle in college?

Fisher: "I am very excited to see these guys continue their wrestling career into college. One of my primary goals is to nurture their passion for wrestling in high school while simultaneously preparing them to be successful college athletes."

Q: Both Flournoy and Raines are at George Mason Univ. – any thoughts about that?

Fisher: "George Mason is a great university and their wrestling program continues to improve. We have a close relationship with the Mason coaches, and they know that a Fauquier recruit will be battle tested and have the ability and desire to compete at the level to which they aspire."

As the year just now getting underway we wish all the very best of luck and hope the winning continues. More information can be found in our   In College NOW section > >
