Fairfax, Va: On Sunday, Feb., 21st George Mason Univ. had its final in-season home match verse American Univ. where many of Greg Flournoy’s close friends, Fauquier wrestling alum, past Coaches, and of course his family showed up to give support.

Greg Flournoy wrestled for Fauquier as he was a 4x District Champion, 2x Region Champion (2009 and 2011), and one of three Falcons to be a 4x State Place winner (4th, 4th, 2nd and 5th respectively) from 2008 to 2011. Flournoy had a high school career record of 172-32 and was one of the primer Falcons to hold a preseason National Ranking.

Greg Flournoy is a red shirt Senior and currently wrestling 157 lbs for the Patriots where he holds a 28-8 season record. Flournoy is currently ranked 20th in the nation.

Last year 2014-15 Greg Flournoy posted a record of 28-12, the most wins on the team with a 16-6 dual record and 8-2 against EWL opponents. Greg clinched his first NCAA Tournament berth with a second finish at EWL Championships.

Flournoy and the team will compete on March, 5 at the EWL Championships in Lock Haven, Pa. By winning this conference event Flournoy could get a birth and qualify for the NCAA Wrestling Championships which would take place March, 17-19 at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y.
